Deer in Roadway Sends Murray Man to RMC

Madisonville, KY - Hopkins County Sheriff's Deputy Bill Strader reported a Murray man was injured in an accident involving a deer Friday afternoon. 

State Police say 33 year old Brian Stedelin, was traveling east on Western Kentucky Parkway when a deer entered the roadway.  Stedelin swerved to avoid the deer and lost control of the vehicle.  The vehicle struck the median, overturned and entered the west bound lane.  The vehicle then traveled approximately 114 feet on it’s top, coming to rest on the shoulder of the west bound lane.  Stedelin was transported to Regional Medical Center by Med Center Ambulance where he was treated and released.  The Hopkins County Sheriff Office was assisted by Med Center Ambulance Service, Dawson Springs Volunteer Fire Department, and Dawson Springs Police Department.
