HOPKINS COUNTY, KY - Gov. Steve Beshear has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff on Monday, March 1, 2010 in honor of a Kentucky native Marine who died while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Local Controversy over Wendell H Ford Center Going Green

HOPKINS COUNTY, KY – The Kentucky National Guard has recently announced that solar panels are being installed at the Wendell H. Ford Center in Muhlenberg County, employment source for many Hopkins County military men and women, as well as soldiers from all over the state. According to center officials, three of the main base buildings will be powered by the environmentally safe energy source.
