HOPKINS COUNTY, KY - Janet Lee Slaton, 73 of Nortonville, KY, died Wednesday in the Jewish Hospital, Louisville, KY.
Born in Madisonville, KY., she was the daughter of the late Rossie and the late Nina (Williams) Rhye.
Mrs. Slaton was a member of New Abundant Life Church
Survived by her husband: Thurman “Chick” Slaton, one daughter: Rose ( Gary ) Brothers of Cape Girardeau, MO and three sons: Joseph ( Michelle ) Slaton of Nortonville, KY, Johnnie ( Cheryl ) Slaton of Nortonville, KY, Wesley ( Michelle ) Slaton of Nortonville, KY; One sister: Jona Knapp of Madisonville, KY. And two brothers: Eugene Rhye of Madisonville, KY., Arthur Rhye of Nortonville, KY, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her granddaughter, Solice Slaton Dukes, brother, Ross Rhye Jr. brother, John Henry Rhye.
Friends may call Friday from 5-8 pm at Bandy Funeral Home, Nortonville, KY and Saturday from 1 pm- 2 pm at New Abundant Life Church.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at New Abundant Life Church, Nortonville.
Interment will be Saturday in New Salem Cemetery, Nortonville.
