Madisonville Maroons Travel to Hopkins County Central Storm

Hopkins County, KY – It was supposed to be the Madisonville North Hopkins Maroons playing the Hopkins County Central Storm, but someone forgot to tell Trey Carr.

It turned out to be the Trey Carr show at the Hopkins County Central Storm football field on Friday night.

The first quarter ended up with the score tied at 0-0. During that quarter, both teams got the ball and moved the ball a little bit and then turned it back over on downs. In the second quarter, after Luke Crawley came out for a few plays, Jesse Almon came in and moved the ball down the field and scored a touchdown on a pass to Orlando Loan. They missed the extra point making the score 6-0. On the next drive the Maroons took the ball down the field and scored a touchdown on a pass from Trey Carr to Dean Summers. They made the extra point and the first half ended with the Maroons up 7-6.

Central took the ball after they came out after halftime and turned it over on downs. For the rest of the third quarter and into the fourth quarter, it was the Trey Carr show as Madisonville scored on the next five possessions. The Maroons scored a touchdown on a pass from Trey Carr. Trey then scored the next 4 touchdowns scrambling and weaving through the defenders. Carr scored on runs of 7, 53, 57, and 39 yards. Madisonville scored one more time on a field goal giving them 43 points.

The Central Storm players did not give up though as they scored on an 85 yard run and a 4 yard run. The final score was Madisonville North Hopkins 43 and the Hopkins Country Central Storm 22..
