WWII 65th Anniversary Reenactment of D-Day in Evansville this Weekend.

D-Day WWII 65th Anniversary Reenactment Battles will take place in Evansville IN Saturday at 1pm and 3pm.  Sunday's events are scheduled for 1pm.  iSurf News was able to take photos of the WWII Camp Kitchen being set up last night.

Madisonville, KY - Ruby Concrete is 140 years old and the oldest continuous business in Hopkins County.  Began as Ruby Lumber, the company has transformed itself over the years; but, the company is prepared to make a 50 year leap in technology.  Ruby Lumber began making concrete blocks when Clyde Ruby returned home after WWII and bought a used block making machine.  Over the years Ruby Concrete has perfected the art and science of making concrete blocks.

The Battle of Burnt Mill by J. Harold Utley

Hopkins County, KY -  2011 will be the Sesquicentennial of the beginning of the American Civil War. By military definition no battles occurred in Hopkins County, only skirmishes.  During the time from now until 2011 we will present the history of the skirmishes in this area.  For the convenience of the Civil War “buffs” we will show the location of each event on a map of the area here on iSurfHopkinsCo shortly.
