MSHA Issues Alert to Mining Community

HOPKINS COUNTY, KY - The U.S. Department of Labor's Mine Safety and Health Administration today issued a fatality alert to the mining community profiling the causes of and circumstances surrounding the 71 fatal accidents that occurred last year.

HOPKINS COUNTY, KY - In a speech on the United States Senate floor, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., joked that the definition of the Constitution’s “commerce clause” expanded so much during the past 70 years that “you can drive a truck through it now — it’s so big.”

Strangulation Deaths Prompt Large-Scale Baby Monitor Recall

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), in cooperation with Summer Infant Inc., of Woonsocket, R.I., is announcing the voluntary recall to provide new on product label and instructions for about 1.7 million video baby monitors with electrical cords.
