HOPKINS COUNTY, KY - Maxine Faye Shanks, 81, of Madisonville died Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 11:15PM at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, IN.
Mrs. Shanks was born May 4, 1929 in McLean County, KY. She was a homemaker and member of Powder Branch Baptist Church in Johnson City, TN. She was the daughter of Clarence W. and Maudie Ellis.
Survivors include a daughter, Darrie Carolyn (Jim) Greenwell of Madisonville; granddaughter Gina Greenwell of Orlando, FL; step-granddaughter Missy Milsaps of Elizabethton, TN; step-great-grandson Joshua Milsaps of Elizabethton, TN; brothers Jimmie (Shirley) Ellis of Owensboro and Clarence Dale (Marie) Ellis of Sacramento; and a sister, Connie (Jerry) Davis of Madisonville.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 2:00PM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento with Rev. J.W. Haire officiating, and Rev. Tondra Daughtery assisting. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in Bremen. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8PM at the funeral home.
