HOPKINS COUNTY, KY - Wilburn N. (Dobelly) Clevenger, 79, of Providence, passed away on Thursday Nov. 11 at his home.
He was born on May 16, 1931 in Webster County to Isom and Lillian Clevenger.
Dobelly attended schools at Shady Grove and Webster County and was married to Imo Jean Jones in Providence in 1957.
Dobelly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and retired as a coal miner in the early 1970’s.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid gardener.
Survivors include three sons; Kevin and wife Donna Clevenger of Dawson Springs, Kyle and wife Sue Clevenger of Providence and Kent Clevenger of Providence.
Four daughters, Namencia and husband Stanley Stone of Diamond, Kimberly Grider of Nebo, Kiki and Kara Clevenger both of Grand Rivers. 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Five sisters, Opail Waide of Cartersville, IL., Edna Hook of Grand Rivers, Virginia Capps and Betty Stinnett both of Providence and Giovanninia Phillips of Crittenden County.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanne, a son Keith, 1 brother L.J. and a sister Joanne.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 14 at 2 PM at Jones & Erdman Funeral & Cremation Service with Bro. Barry Cullen officiating. Interment will be in the family plot of Green Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is on Saturday from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
