HOPKINS COUNTY, KY - Clara Rece Cardwell, 70, of Madisonville, KY. passed away at 11:09 a.m. on Thursday November 11, 2010 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, KY.
She was born on March 26, 1940 in Morgantown, KY. to the late Ottis and Annie Brooks. She was a housewife and a member of Kelly Holiness Church in Hopkinsville, KY.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, James Robert Cardwell Jr. and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband, James Cardwell; two sons, Ray (Katrina) Cardwell of Hopkinsville and Daril (Melissa) Cardwell of Elkton, KY.; one daughter, Jeniffer Cardwell of Hopkinsville, three step-daughters, Darlene Harell, Virginia Smith and Teresa Humphries; three brothers, Rolly Brooks, Ottis Brooks and Council Brooks; one sister, Riva Magroo; fourteen grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday November 13, 2010 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Birdie McCord officiating. Burial will be in Hicklin Cemetery in Anton, KY.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at Harris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be A.J. Escobedo, Joseph Humphrey, Zach Parker, Bradley Cardwell, Jacob Skimehorn and Michael Daniels.
