HOPKINS COUNTY, KY - Claude Randall (Buck) Duvall, 69, of Greenville, Ky. died suddenly Tuesday morning November 16, 2010 at 6:30 a.m. at his home.
Buck was born December 30, 1940 in Rosewood, Ky. the third child of Claude Duvall and Mary Francis Baker Duvall. Buck was a Army Veteran of the Vietnam War serving in Germany and he was a member of American Legion Post # 200 in Louisville, Ky. Buck was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Rosewood and was a # 1 University of Kentucky Basketball fan all his life. Buck worked at Chrysler in Detroit, Mi. in the late 60’s and 70’s where he met his wife Janice Barnes. Buck was maintaince Supervisor at Lake Malone Inn and was a Farmer all his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, and Brothers Billy Duvall and Donald Duvall.
Buck is survived by his loving companion of 18 years, Jennifer Austin of Greenville, Ky.; 1 son David (Karen) Duvall of Collinsville, Il.; 2 daughters Tina (Carol) Hardison of Cape Coral, Fl.; 1 step-son Leroy (Charlott) Smith of Central City, Ky.; 2 step-daughters Anna (Calvin) Davenport, Jr. of Central City, Ky.; Millie (Joe) Arnold of Central City, Ky.; 7 grandchildren Joshua Hardison, Justin Duvall, Keidis Jarvis, Jordan Bean, Iam Jarvis, Cody Bean, Gage Locke; 5 step-grandsons and 5 step-granddaughters; 2 sisters Betty Cisney of Lebanon Junction, Ky.; Linda Faye (Walter) Rhoades of Greenville, Ky.; 3 brothers Jackie (Germa) Duvall of Greenville, Ky.; James (Wanda) Duvall of Greenville, Ky.; Larry (Tammy) Duvall of Marion, Ky.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon November 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Rosewood United Methodist Church by Rev. Curtis McGehee. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Rosewood United Methodist Church Cemetery, Rosewood, Ky.
Friends may call Thursday November 18, 2010 from 5:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home Greenville,Ky. The body will lie in state at the Church Friday afternoon November 19, 2010 after 12:00 p.m. (noon) until Funeral time. Online condolences to the family can be made at www.garysfuneralhome.net.
