Cross Country Teams Travel to Christian County this Weekend

HOPKINS COUNTY, KY – Several area schools will participate in the 38th Annual Christian County Cross Country Invitational this Saturday, October 23, at the Christian County High School Campus.

Of the seven schools confirmed to participate, the two Hopkins County Teams scheduled to attend are Dawson Springs Independent and Madisonville North Hopkins.

The Boys Varsity 5K will kick off the event at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Girls Varsity 5K at 10:00 a.m., Boys Middle School 4K at 10:30 a.m., Girls Middle School 4K at 11:00 a.m. and the Elementary 1 Mile Fun Run (Boys and Girls) at 11:30 a.m.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. where the top three Boys and Girls Varsity Teams will receive Trophies. Trophies will also be awarded to the top seven runners and medals for those finishing through the 40th position.

The top two Middle School Boys & Girls teams will be awarded trophies and medals awarded to the top thirty individuals.

Elementary medals will be awarded to the top twenty male finishers and the top twenty female finishers. No team scores will be recorded for elementary. iSurf News will be at the event on Saturday cheering on our local teams and will bring you the results.
